Primary school's programming courses for children are made up of software courses and hardware courses. In the six semester, after summing up the teaching results, we found that the cultivation of computer thinking for primary school students, interest in training, could begin from elementary school. In the course of the lecture, there are many real-life knowledge: RFID cards, radar ranging, smart street lights, intelligent traffic lights, remote control, game programming, etc. While playing, I learned basic physics and mathematics, and learned computer programming knowledge. STEM education has become a U.S. Department of Education priority and computing education is an integral part of the STEM process instilling critical thinking and problem-solving skills into all disciplines . However, computational concepts are sporadically taught and not fully integrated into the K-12 curriculum, which has led to a current shortage of computing and engineering professionals in the United States. While there is a strong need for computing professionals in the near future, students majoring in STEM itself make up only 16 percent of all college graduates, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. The data also indicate that less than 28% of the total IT workforce was women and less than 7% of total IT workforce was from underrepresented minorities .Click Here
